Overview
Applicable for SaaS-deployed environments, After Environment Operations Center (EOC) updates on or after May 9, 2026, some customers may see the warning message “Client version does not match the server version” on the Secure Data Connector (SDC) details page when the SDC server version is 1.3.0.
This warning can be safely ignored at this time. Internal validation has confirmed that there is no immediate need to upgrade the SDC client solely because this message appears.
Affected scenario
This behavior occurs in environments where:
- The SDC server version is 1.3.0 (upgraded as part of recent EOC updates), and
- The deployed/downloadable SDC client version is 1.2.3, which is currently the latest available client build.
In this situation, the UI displays the “Client version does not match the server version” warning even though the customer is using the latest SDC client.
Customer impact
- The warning may give the impression that the SDC client is outdated or unsupported.
- Customers may assume that an immediate upgrade is required, even though no newer client version is available.
- Functionality is not affected by this warning alone; it does not indicate a service outage.
Guidance
- Customers can continue using their existing SDC client deployment (v1.2.3 or older) normally.
- No immediate SDC client upgrade is required based solely on this warning.
- This behavior is being tracked internally as a UI issue related to how the client/server version relationship is displayed.
If a newer SDC client version is released in the future, customers will be informed through the usual release and maintenance communication channels, along with any required upgrade steps.
